Join us on this superb Irish tour to one of the most popular areas of Southern Ireland in County Kerry. Staying at a 4* superbly appointed hotel in a prime position in the centre of Killarney, offering first class hospitality and nightly live entertainment. We are including a traditional Jaunting car ride, a scenic lake cruise, Muckross house & farm, the Cobh Harbour Titanic tour and of course a full guided day around the beautiful ring of Kerry.
Tuesday We continue our journey down to County Kerry via County Cork with a lunchtime stop at Blarney castle, and an opportunity to kiss the Blarney Stone! We arrive at our main hotel in Killarney mid-afternoon with time to settle in before tonights dinner followed by entertainment.
Wednesday A coach free day for you all today, when after breakfast we will enjoy a traditional Irish Jaunting car experience and a ride through the scenic national park. Leaving from and returning to our hotel, gives you the rest of the day to do as you please, explore the town on your doorstep or to use the superb leisure facilities in the hotel.
Thursday The highlight of the tour for many will be todays guided tour of the beautifully scenic Ring of Kerry. Formed during the last ice age, this picturesque peninsular with its traditional villages, lush countryside and ocean views makes this a wonderful 100 mile drive complemented by a fully trained guide. Plenty of stops and points of interest throughout the day.
Friday This morning we take you on a scenic lake cruise on the world famous Lakes of Killarney followed by a visit to the 19th century mansion within the Killarney national park on the shores of Muckross Lake Muckross House. Built between 1839-43, by Scottish architect William Burn, it was built for the Herbert family. Staying in the family for generations the Herberts undertook extensive garden works for the preparation of the visit in 1861 by Queen Victoria! The estate is made up of 3 farms, formal and informal grounds, a weavers, a garden restaurant and of course the beautiful mansion itself, all of which you can explore at your own pace.
Saturday A free day for you to enjoy Killarney as you wish.
Sunday We leave Killarney today and visit the Titanics late port of call at the Cobh visitor centre located in the historic White star line building, the very last place from where the passengers departed. Take the guided tour and retrace the footsteps of our Queenstown passengers. A unique experience to take you on a virtual journey to board the Titanic for her Maiden voyage to New York. Immersed in life on board youll learn a little about the conditions on board for 3rd and 1st class passengers. Youll visit the exhibition area with audio visual screens and story boards and the story room to learn the fate of the Queenstown passengers. A fascinating tour for a unique and emotive journey back in time. We will have time for lunch here before continuing to County Waterford and a visit to the city of Waterford, Irelands oldest city. Free time to explore the famous Waterford crystal or the Waterford museum of treasures. We finish the day at our overnight hotel in Wexford arriving for our 3-course evening meal and a relaxing evening.
Monday An early start this morning to catch our morning ferry back to Wales. Complimentary hot drinks and biscuits on the coach before we board the ferry where you will all have vouchers for a full breakfast on board at a time that suits you. Once back in Wales we continue our journey home arriving back in Wiltshire late afternoon after your memorable holiday in the Emerald Isles.
Both hotels have en-suite bedrooms with TV, hairdryer, hospitality trays, telephone, and Wi-Fi. Bar, lounges, lift, and leisure facilities including indoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room.
